There are four downloads. In most cases only the
first one is required:
-
cSwing
- (required) the cSwing program
-
cSwing Help
- (optional) the fully illustrated help file,
it can be downloaded from within the cSwing program itself
-
DirectX
- (may be required)
- Windows 98 System Files - (may be
required if you use Windows 98)
1. cSwing 2006
(required)
This download contains cSwing 2006 and five sample swings.
Instructions:
-
Click to start the
download: cSwing
2006 (2.8 MB).
-
Choose Open (or Run) on the Window that pops up and wait
for the installer to be downloaded.
-
From
there, follow the instructions on your screen to install the program.
2. cSwing Help
(optional, can be downloaded in cSwing directly)
The cSwing help file is very large because it contains comprehensive illustrated
tutorials covering the features of the product. After you have downloaded
and installed the program using the first link above, when you try to access the
Help file, cSwing will prompt to you download it. If you have difficulty
downloading the help file that way, which is sometimes a problem if you have a
dial up connection, we have split it into five
smaller ones here..
Instructions:
-
First try accessing the Help
file in cSwing, after you install it. It will automatically prompt you to download
it. If you have difficulty with that download, follow the steps below
to manually download it in smaller pieces and cSwing will combine the pieces into the
full help file.
-
For each of the five links below,
click the link to download that section of the help file and choose Save. For each download, you
must
save the file to the folder where
you installed cSwing (default: C:\Program
Files\cSwing) and name it the same name that it
prompts you with (cSwingchm.1 through
cSwingchm.5).
-
Wait for each download to
complete and then start the next download.
-
Now when you use the Help -> Contents menu, the
documentation will be displayed.

3. Microsoft DirectX
(only if you are running Windows 2000, ME or 98)
DirectX provides the multimedia support required by cSwing. The Advanced Capture feature requires
DirectX 9.
The cSwing Installer has an "Install DirectX"
link on the start up screen. You can click on this link to check
your DirectX version. Here is a link to the Microsoft site in case you need
it:

DirectX 9.0c web setup
4. Windows 98 System Files (only if you
have Windows 98)
In rare cases, you may need this Microsoft update if you are running Windows 98. It is
not required for other versions of Windows. If you receive an error about a missing file, such as msvcp60.dll or mfc42.dll,
when
you start cSwing, downloading
and installing this update will fix the problem.
